Summerview cares for up to six people with learning difficulties. Staff knew the people they supported well and attended to their care needs appropriately, with sufficient staffing on duty. The provider had proper recruitment processes in place and staff were trained in safeguarding, understanding how to raise concerns. There were policies and procedures for staff to follow, and processes in place to learn from incidents and improve care.

However, inspectors found that infection prevention control processes needed to improve to mitigate infection risk. Guidance on the use of PPE and infection control procedures required implementation. Governance and oversight of the service also needed to be more robust to address issues promptly and ensure consistent quality standards.
