Upton Grange Residential Home

Upton Grange Residential Home, in Cheshire East, provides accommodation and personal care for up to 25 people, including older people, younger adults and those living with dementia. Following a previous rating of requires improvement, the CQC found the service had made sufficient progress to be rated good overall, with the earlier breach relating to governance no longer in place.

Inspectors found staff were kind, attentive and knew people well, with positive feedback from residents, relatives and health professionals. Staffing levels and recruitment were safe, and the home was clean and well presented. Some further work was still needed to strengthen oversight of medicines management.
