Ashfields Care Home accommodates 36 residents in a detached, two-storey building with lift access, supporting older people and those living with dementia or physical disabilities. The service has capacity for up to 39 people and features five self-contained flats and a large garden area.

Inspectors found concerns with medicines management, which was not consistently effective or robust. Medical records were sometimes incomplete or inaccurate. Recruitment processes for new staff included background checks, but employment history checks were not always carried out, prompting a recommendation for improvement.

The inspection also identified gaps in risk assessments for residents and staff safety procedures.
