University Care

University Care provides personal care for four people with learning disabilities or mental health needs in a residential Nottingham location with good access to community facilities. The home supports people to live meaningful lives with control, choice, and independence through planned, person-centred care. Staff numbers are adequate to meet residents' needs, and people feel safe. The service has robust safeguarding practices, with staff trained to recognise and respond to potential abuse. Medicines are administered safely and residents understand why they need their prescribed treatments. Staff recruitment procedures ensure suitability for working with the people supported.

People are actively involved in decisions about their support and how they spend their time. Staff support residents to exercise maximum choice and control over their lives, using the least restrictive approach possible and always acting in their best interests.
