McMorrow House

McMorrow House provides accommodation and personal care for up to 13 people with mental health conditions in a large two-storey building with individual bedrooms, communal living areas, and two independent flats. The service offers 24-hour support. Inspectors observed excellent safeguarding practices, with staff using robust training and comprehensive policies to keep people safe during crises. Residents described the support as "life saving" and "above and beyond" what they expected.

The home's recruitment and staff matching processes produced exceptionally positive outcomes for people in their care. Medicines were managed safely, and residents received support to maintain independence with their medication management. The registered manager demonstrated comprehensive understanding of residents' mental health conditions and arranged bespoke training to prevent incidents. The service maintained an open, transparent culture around accidents and incidents, using them as learning opportunities to reduce risks.
