Tweedmouth House

Tweedmouth House provides nursing and personal care for up to 55 people, including those living with dementia, across two units. At inspection, 48 people were using the service. The home maintains robust safety practices, with risks regularly assessed and reviewed as people's needs change. The building is well maintained with updated fire safety precautions in place, and medicines are managed safely. Staff are appropriately trained and recruited through safe processes, with sufficient numbers to support residents effectively.

The service demonstrates a positive culture where people are supported to make choices about their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible and in residents' best interests. Staff work effectively with visiting professionals while maintaining appropriate infection control measures and PPE protocols. Both staff and relatives described the management team as effective in their leadership and support of the service.
