Albury House

This small family-run care home accommodates up to 12 older people, providing personal care and accommodation. At inspection, 11 residents were living at the service. The provider lacked comprehensive oversight of the service, and improvements identified at the previous inspection had not been implemented. Inspectors found shortfalls in staff suitability checks, maintenance of care and building records, and Mental Capacity Act procedures. People were not consistently supported to make choices about their lives, and staff did not always support them in the least restrictive way possible. Care records and risk assessments lacked detail and were not always person-centred, meaning some risks were not properly identified and appropriate safeguarding measures could not be put in place.
