Tremanse House Care Home

Tremanse House Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for older people. The CQC assessed the service after concerns were raised about how safeguarding issues were handled, and found the overall rating requires improvement. Inspectors found safeguarding referrals were not always raised promptly, investigations were slow, and risk mitigation measures lacked clarity.

Some areas of the building needed redecoration, without a clear plan for prioritising this work.

Governance was found to be in breach of regulations, and an action plan has been requested. However, staffing levels were adequate, and feedback from residents, relatives and outside professionals was largely positive, describing a well led, caring team who supported people's independence and safety.
