Pendrea House

Pendrea House accommodates up to 16 older people, including those with dementia diagnoses. At the time of inspection, 14 residents were living there with adequate staffing levels. Staff responded quickly to call bells and took an unhurried approach to care. Many team members had worked at the service for several years, enabling them to know residents well and provide consistent, personalised care aligned with individual needs and preferences.

Medicines were administered safely and as prescribed, with staff receiving regular training and competency assessments to maintain good practice standards. The service had risk assessments in place that detailed how to support people safely based on their health conditions. Residents were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff adopting the least restrictive approaches in their best interests. The registered manager oversaw operations with support from a deputy manager and team leaders.
