About Tramways

Tramways is a residential care home in Cornwall providing personal care and support for people with a learning disability. The findings below set out what CQC observed on inspection.

Tramways is a residential care home providing personal care for up to eight people with a learning disability, supporting seven residents at the time of inspection. The service operates from one domestic style property. Staff generally use Personal Protective Equipment effectively to protect residents from infection, with adequate supplies in place and staff aware of proper usage.

During the inspection, the registered manager and a senior staff member were observed in the office without masks. Following this observation, the registered manager immediately instructed all staff to wear masks at all times throughout the service and updated risk procedures to reflect this requirement. Staff demonstrated understanding of infection control measures and the service took prompt action to strengthen safety protocols.
