Tolson Grange

Tolson Grange Care Home accommodates up to 42 older people, with 32 residents at the time of inspection. The service demonstrated strong infection control practices, with staff consistently wearing PPE and having received appropriate training. Designated changing areas were available to reduce infection spread, and a robust visitor management system included COVID-19 testing, temperature checks, questionnaires and hand sanitising on arrival.

The premises were clean, hygienic and well ventilated with regular cleaning schedules for frequently touched surfaces. Clear signage throughout the home informed residents, visitors and staff of their responsibilities for reducing infection risk. The service engaged with government COVID-19 testing schemes, completed regular infection control audits, and the registered manager ensured up-to-date guidance was available to staff in accessible formats.
