Abbey Care Village

Abbey Care Village, in Kirklees, provides accommodation and personal care for up to 78 people, including some living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding it well led by a knowledgeable registered manager who maintained effective oversight and welcomed feedback to drive improvement.

Inspectors found enough trained staff who knew people well and supported them safely, with medicines managed properly and people protected from abuse. Staff were kind, patient and respectful, seeking consent and supporting people to make choices, take part in activities and access health professionals as needed.
