Timperley Care Home

This nursing home accommodates up to 56 people across two floors, with en-suite rooms and communal spaces including lounges, dining areas, and an accessible garden. The ground floor supports people needing general nursing care and those living with dementia, while the first floor predominantly serves people with dementia. At the time of inspection, 52 people were resident at the home.

Medicines were managed safely, though inspectors recommended reviewing records that support staff administering medicines via feeding tubes or covertly in food or drink. The home maintained clean standards throughout, and staff supported people with maximum choice and control in their lives using the least restrictive approaches. Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards were appropriately applied where needed. Inspectors recommended the home review its use of personal protective equipment in line with current government guidance, and noted that policies and systems did not always fully support practices promoting people's choice and control.
