Thornton Hall & Lodge

Thornton Hall & Lodge is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 96 people, including older people and those living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall, following an assessment prompted by concerns about safe care, staffing and leadership.

Inspectors found some gaps in guidance for "as required" medicines and shortfalls in cleanliness of the environment and equipment, which managers addressed promptly during the visit. Elsewhere, staffing levels, recruitment and safeguarding practice were sound, and people described feeling safe and well cared for. Leadership was found to be open, approachable and responsive to concerns raised.
