Thornhill Nursing Home

Thornhill Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 42 people, including some living with dementia. The CQC found the service, previously in special measures, has made significant improvements and is no longer inadequate, though it remains rated Requires Improvement overall. Risk management, medicines, environmental security and record keeping still need further work, and leadership needs to embed changes more securely.

Inspectors found people were supported by kind, attentive staff who protected their privacy and dignity, with consistently positive feedback from residents and relatives. Personal care and nutrition were well managed, though involvement in care planning and access to activities and outdoor space still needed improvement.
