About The Vale Care Home

The Vale Care Home is a nursing home in Derbyshire, providing care for adults, including those living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

The Vale Care Home provides care for up to 40 adults, including people living with dementia and those with physical disabilities. It was assessed following a concern raised about care quality. The CQC found improvements had been made since the last inspection, with staff providing safe, person-centred care and enough staff on hand, though medicines were not always managed safely.

The registered manager took immediate action to address this.

Inspectors found people and relatives were happy with the care, describing staff as kind and attentive, with one relative calling the team "one big family". The provider had good oversight through regular audits and fostered a culture where people, staff and relatives felt able to speak up.
