Millfield Nursing and Residential Home

Millfield Nursing and Residential Home accommodates up to 48 adults in one adapted building, providing nursing and personal care for older people and those living with dementia. At inspection, 47 people were in residence, including 23 receiving nursing care. Effective staffing, risk management and medicines arrangements kept people safe, with robust safeguarding and emergency planning protecting them from harm. People and their relatives expressed confidence in the home's safety measures.

Staff assessed and met people's care needs and choices within a suitably adapted environment. The home supported people to maintain and improve their health and nutrition through timely consultation with external health professionals when needed. Well-trained staff provided an effective skill mix for care delivery. The provider's policies supported people to have maximum control of their lives, with staff using the least restrictive practices possible in line with the law.
