Millfield Nursing and Residential Home

Millfield Nursing and Residential Home provides nursing and residential care for up to 50 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of assessment, 46 people were living there. The CQC found the service continues to be rated Good overall, with people's needs safely and effectively met.

Inspectors found a welcoming atmosphere, with friendly, approachable staff and compassionate interactions between staff and residents. Safeguarding was managed effectively, with clear learning from incidents. People and relatives felt able to raise concerns with leaders, who were seen as open and responsive, and care around medication, nutrition and health support was found to be well managed.
