Barnfield Manor Care Home

Barnfield Manor Care Home is a nursing home providing support to up to 39 adults, some living with dementia. The CQC found the service requires improvement overall, following an inspection prompted by concerns. Staffing was not deployed effectively, with people sometimes waiting for support, and record keeping, risk assessments and infection control had gaps that inspectors said needed addressing.

Inspectors also found positive practice: medicines were managed safely, falls were investigated and learning shared, and staff understood how to protect people from abuse. People and relatives spoke highly of staff and felt safe, and a new manager was working through an improvement plan with support from other agencies.
