Holmewood Manor Care Home

This residential care home provides personal care for up to 40 people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 23 residents were using the service. The purpose-built home spans two floors, with each level containing bedrooms, a communal lounge, and dining area, along with accessible outdoor spaces.

Inspectors found that medicines were not always managed safely, putting people at risk of missing prescribed doses. While the home was generally clean, unpleasant odours were present. Staffing levels were adequate for care provision, though the kitchen and laundry areas needed additional staff. Residents reported feeling safe at the home, and staff had begun identifying risks to people and the environment, though this work remained incomplete.
