The Uplands at Oxon

The Uplands at Oxon provides nursing care for up to 81 people in a purpose-built building with four units across two floors. At inspection, 75 residents were using the service. People felt safe and well-supported by staff, who had received training in safeguarding and knew how to report concerns about residents' wellbeing. The home followed robust recruitment procedures, assessed risks to people, and had mitigation plans in place. Staff were trained and competent in managing medicines, and residents received them when needed.

The home maintained best practice standards for infection control and COVID-19 prevention. Assessments ensured that residents' needs and aspirations could be met through the care provided. People were positive about the food provided, describing both the quality and quantity as meeting their needs and preferences.
