The Stables Residential Care Home

The Stables provides personal care and accommodation for up to seven older people, with six residents at the time of inspection. The home maintains strong connections between residents and their loved ones through daily telephone and video calls, with staff regularly updating family members about their relatives' wellbeing. Residents can access their chosen faith groups through recordings of religious services, which has positively supported their wellbeing. Safe visits with relatives are facilitated using Perspex screens to maintain social distancing.

The home has increased staffing levels to ensure residents' emotional and social needs are met. Staff have access to a confidential helpline for advice and support, and working hours and duties have been reviewed to improve staff wellbeing. Cleaning schedules have been enhanced with specialist equipment to ensure thorough sanitisation, particularly in hard-to-reach areas, and staff compliance with infection control policies is regularly monitored.
