Drayton Court

Drayton Court is a residential care home supporting up to 45 older people and people with dementia across three floors, each with themed décor, communal lounges, dining areas and kitchenettes. At inspection, 44 people were using the service. While the provider had systems to check safety and quality, oversight of some risks to people's health and wellbeing was not always effective. Some risks to people's health had not been fully assessed or monitored, and records were not always accurately updated to reflect changes. Inspectors found no evidence people had been harmed. However, medicine records did not always provide assurance that people received their prescribed medications, and when discrepancies in medicine stock levels were identified, it was not always clear what action was taken to investigate or ensure people's health was not adversely affected. Some people had medicines available to use when required for conditions such as anxiety or pain.
