The Pines

The Pines provides personal care and accommodation for up to 12 people with learning disabilities who may be autistic. At the time of inspection, all 12 places were occupied. The service had strong COVID-19 safety measures in place, including adequate supplies of personal protective equipment, hand sanitiser readily available throughout, and staff trained in correct PPE usage. Regular testing was conducted for residents, visitors and staff, with all visitors subject to screening procedures including temperature checks, vaccination evidence and negative lateral flow tests before entry. Despite these precautions, the service maintained flexible visiting arrangements, supporting residents and their relatives to maintain contact at all times.
