The Olde Coach House

The Olde Coach House is a residential care home providing support and accommodation for up to 41 people, some living with dementia. The service operates across two buildings, with one recently renovated building located across the street. At the time of inspection, 38 people were residing at the home.

However, the home's governance systems were not always robust, failing to identify gaps in recruitment records and inconsistencies in care plans. Audit systems for medicines were not effective in identifying issues found during inspection. Personal Protective Equipment was not always disposed of correctly, increasing infection risk for residents. Additionally, oxygen cylinders were not stored in accordance with proper safety standards.
