The Hollies - Care Home

The Hollies is a residential care home supporting 34 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia. The service is organised across three units: Humber unit for people with dementia, Tranby unit for women with dementia, and Hessle suite offering studio apartments. Recent improvements have been made to quality and safety, with the building recently redecorated and refurbished.

People feel safe at the service, with robust systems in place to protect from abuse and appropriate reporting of concerns. Medicines are administered safely, and staff understand risks to people's wellbeing and work to mitigate them. The home recruits staff safely and maintains sufficient staffing levels to meet people's needs. Staff support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible, with appropriate authorisations sought where restrictions on liberty are necessary. The registered manager continues working to strengthen systems around health and safety, mental capacity records, and quality assurance.
