Could the NHS fund The Old Rectory's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
The Old Rectory is a residential care home for up to 25 people, with 21 residents living there at the time of inspection, the majority of whom have dementia. Staff interactions with residents are kind, compassionate and caring, with staff taking time to offer support and reassurance. A stable core of staff understand and anticipate people's needs well, contributing to a calm atmosphere throughout the home. Residents feel safe and comfortable, and relatives report their family members are very well cared for.
Staff manage medicines safely and effectively, and receive frequent training, support and supervision from the registered manager and provider. Staff understand how to identify and mitigate risks to people's safety, and residents are supported to maintain a balanced diet. There are enough staff to meet people's needs effectively.
