The Evergreens Lodge

The Evergreens Lodge is a care home providing support to older people, some of whom were living with dementia. This assessment followed previous breaches around safe care and treatment and governance, and inspectors found these issues had been resolved. Medicines were now managed safely, staffing levels were sufficient, and staff had up to date training and a good understanding of people's needs.

People and relatives spoke positively about kind, attentive staff who protected their dignity and involved them in decisions about their care. Leadership was described as competent and visible, though minor shortfalls in quality monitoring systems were found and addressed during the assessment. Overall, the CQC rated the home Good.
