The Oaks

The Oaks provides personal and nursing care to up to 113 people, including older adults, those living with dementia, and people with mental health needs. At inspection, 90 people were using the service.

However, inspectors found significant concerns. People were placed at undue risk of harm, with many unable to easily call staff for assistance when needed. Risk management plans were not always followed correctly to prevent skin breakdown, and medicines were not managed safely. The service did not consistently follow good infection control procedures, and maintenance issues with the building remained unresolved.
