The Oaks Care Home

The Oaks Care Home provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 61 people with physical disabilities, dementia, or requiring end of life care. At inspection, 48 people were living at the service.

Improvements were needed in the management of medicines to reduce the risk of errors and ensure all people receive their medicines as prescribed. Staff were not consistently following safe infection control processes, with issues identified around the cleanliness of areas and equipment throughout the service. Governance systems were not sufficiently robust to independently identify and address shortfalls in care delivery.
