The Mill House

The Mill House provides residential and nursing care to around 36 residents aged 65 and over. Staff safely administer medicines, though records and storage practices need improvement. Some infection control concerns were observed during the inspection. While most residents receive timely care from safely recruited staff, staffing numbers raised some concerns. The home keeps people safe from abuse and harm, with accidents and near misses routinely reported, recorded and monitored to enable learning. Staff are well trained and regularly supervised. Residents are supported with their dietary needs and offered choices at mealtimes. Healthcare needs are identified and managed well, with residents supported to access external health professionals as required.
