About The Mead

The Mead is a residential care home in Wiltshire, providing support to people with mental health needs. Details of the Care Quality Commission's most recent findings are set out below.

The Mead is a residential care home supporting four people with mental health support needs, with capacity for up to six residents. People feel safe at the home, with staff demonstrating a strong understanding of individual support needs and taking action to manage risks effectively. Staff encourage residents to maintain independence and do as much for themselves as possible, with medicines managed safely and health services accessed when needed.

The home has implemented robust infection prevention and control measures and maintains detailed, person-centred support plans that guide staff on how to meet each person's needs. Staff receive regular training and support, enabling them to provide skilled care. Residents benefit from support with diet and nutrition, while being supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible.
