The Manse Residential Care Home

The Manse Residential Care Home accommodates up to 33 people, currently supporting 32 residents including older people, those with disabilities, and people living with dementia. Inspectors identified significant concerns across several areas of care delivery. Risk assessments were not always sufficiently detailed or up to date, and medicine management did not consistently follow guidelines. Staffing levels were sometimes inadequate to meet residents' needs safely and promptly, and people's privacy and dignity were not always respected in care planning and delivery.

Additional issues included care not always being designed in a person-centred way, with maintenance checks and repairs not carried out appropriately or on time. The home's quality assurance systems failed to identify these problems before inspection. While no evidence of actual harm was found, inspectors determined these shortcomings had put some residents at risk of potential harm.
