About The Lodge

The Lodge is a residential care home in North Yorkshire, supporting autistic adults with learning and physical disabilities and sensory impairment. The findings below set out what the CQC observed during its most recent inspection.

The Lodge supports eight autistic people with learning and physical disabilities and sensory impairment. At the time of inspection, the home was operating at full capacity.

Staff demonstrated strong infection control practices, following government guidance on personal protective equipment and infection prevention measures. The service maintained adequate PPE supplies with the registered manager and IPC lead actively monitoring stock levels. COVID-19 testing was being conducted for all staff and some residents, with appropriate mental capacity assessments and best interests meetings held for those unable to consent to testing.
