The Limes

This residential care home supports up to six people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions. At inspection, three people were using the service. However, significant concerns were identified regarding the quality of support provided. Risk assessments were not in place for people at serious risk of harm, and care and support plans were either missing, outdated or contained inaccurate information. Medicine management was unsafe, with staff not consistently following proper procedures and records being inaccurate and incomplete.

The home also failed to support people with maximum choice and control over their lives. Staff did not consistently apply the least restrictive approach to support, and the service's policies and systems did not support best practice in this area. While people had access to specialist health and social care support in the community, the overall findings indicated the provider was not meeting fundamental principles of safe, person-centred care.
