The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, identifying breaches around safe care and treatment and good governance. Inspectors found medicines were not always managed safely, with unreadable cream labels and some medicines kept beyond their discard date, and some care plans contained inaccurate or conflicting information.

Despite these shortfalls, staff were found to understand people's rights and felt well supported, and safeguarding was appropriately monitored. People and their relatives spoke positively about the caring atmosphere, with families describing themselves as "overwhelmed with the care" received.

The Lawn Residential Care Home is registered to provide care and support for up to 31 people. There were 29 people living at the service during this inspection. The inspection was carried out between 17 October and 22 October 2025.
We found 2 breaches of regulation in relation to good governance and safe care and treatment.Medicines were not always managed safely. We found some creams with unreadable prescription labels and some medicines to be in use after they should have been discarded. Additionally, some people’s care plans contained inaccurate and conflicting information. The provider’s governance framework had not always been used effectively to identify shortfalls found during this inspection. We asked the provider for an action plan in response to the shortfalls found at this inspection.
Staff understood people’s rights and how these should be met. Staff felt supported and told us they liked their work. Safeguarding incidents were monitored, and policies and procedures were in place. Health and social care professionals were complimentary about working with the service.
