The Knole

The Knole provides personal care to up to 15 people with learning disabilities and autism in a single adapted building. Inspectors found the service had measures in place to manage risk and learn from incidents. The home is a large communal environment, though staff have considered how to meet residents' individual sensory and physical needs.

The setting is safe and clean, with people supported to participate in activities and gain voluntary or paid employment.

Staff help residents exercise maximum choice and control over their lives using the least restrictive practices. People receive their medicines according to their individual needs and preferences. Inspectors received mixed feedback from professionals about how well risks are assessed and managed for people with complex and profound needs, and from staff regarding weekend staffing levels.
