The Hurst Residential Home

The Hurst Residential Home accommodates up to 29 people with mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, alcohol dependency and personality disorders, alongside other health conditions such as diabetes, brain injury and mobility problems. Residents range from 40 to 80 years old, and the service offers both permanent and short-term care. During inspection, 22 people were living at the home.

Inspectors found significant gaps in the provider's quality assurance systems. Care and treatment were not being delivered safely, and audits had not been implemented to identify and manage risks to residents. The registered manager, who also acts as the provider, was aware of these shortcomings.
