The Haven

The Haven provides short-term respite care for up to two people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or autism, typically offering breaks lasting a few days to a week. At inspection, two people were staying at the home. Staff felt comfortable raising concerns with the registered manager, who demonstrated good knowledge of regulatory requirements. Risks to people were safely monitored, regularly reviewed, and managed appropriately. The home maintained safe infection control practices, including COVID-19 measures, and supported people to meet their individual needs safely with sufficient staffing levels and safe recruitment procedures. Quality assurance processes and documentation, particularly support plans, required further development to ensure information was effectively recorded.
