The Gatehouse

The Gatehouse accommodates up to 31 older people, including those living with dementia, providing personal and nursing care. At inspection, 22 people were using the service. The large detached building spans three floors with lift access and includes an accessible garden area.

Staff numbers were sufficient to meet people's needs safely and caringly. However, recruitment processes lacked robustness, with safety checks such as DBS checks not consistently completed where required. Medicines management systems failed to reliably identify and address issues in a timely manner, creating potential safety concerns for residents.
