The Firs Residential Home

The Firs Residential Home provides accommodation and personal care to up to 40 older people and those living with dementia in one adapted building. At inspection, there were 34 people using the service.

Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives, using the least restrictive approaches and acting in their best interests. The home's policies and systems supported this practice. People received their medicines when needed, and risks were assessed with systems in place to reduce them. When incidents and accidents occurred, the home learned lessons and took appropriate actions.
