The Conifers

The Conifers is a residential care home supporting up to 6 people with learning disabilities and autism in a large family bungalow with extensive gardens. At inspection, all 6 residents were living there. People have choice about their living environment and can personalise their rooms. One relative praised the service as "very welcoming, very accommodating, more like a home," describing it as the result of an extensive search to find suitable care.

Staff focus on residents' strengths and promote what they can do, enabling fulfilling everyday lives. People are supported to have maximum choice and control with staff using the least restrictive approaches in their best interests. Staff understand how each person prefers to take their medicines and support them to maintain their own health and wellbeing, including facilitating access to specialist health and social care support in the community.
