The Ridings

The Ridings provides accommodation and personal care for up to four people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder in a domestic-style house. At inspection, four people were living at the service. The home had recently managed a Covid-19 outbreak effectively, with one person infected who has since recovered. All residents had received their first Covid-19 vaccination. Staff followed infection prevention and control guidance, including correct use of personal protective equipment and handwashing procedures. The service maintained weekly testing for all residents and staff, with rapid testing for essential visitors and relatives. Throughout the pandemic, the home used alternative ways to maintain family contact, including video calls, newsletters, phone communication, and socially distanced garden visits in warmer weather.
