Kacee Lodge

Kacee Lodge provides residential care with personal care for up to seven people with learning disabilities and those with autistic spectrum disorder. At the time of inspection, five people were living at this domestic-style, single-storey detached house. The service does not provide nursing care.

The home was following robust infection prevention and control guidance and policy to protect people from infection and prevent the spread of infection. Management demonstrated effective oversight of potential infection outbreaks. The manager attended daily video meetings with senior managers to discuss the impact and management of Covid-19 across the provider's services and to learn from other locations. Additional meetings took place at regional level twice weekly. The service implemented government guidance on whole home testing, including weekly testing for people and staff, with rapid testing available for staff and essential visitors.
