The Clavadel

The Clavadel provides short-stay rehabilitation and convalescence care for up to 32 people recovering from operations or illnesses. The purpose-built centre offers accommodation with personal care support, alongside in-house physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services to help people regain mobility and return home. During the inspection, 14 people were using the service.

People praised the support they received, particularly noting how the centre maintained vital personal care and rehabilitation services in a COVID-19 secure manner throughout the pandemic. Management implemented robust plans to adapt services in line with national guidance, ensuring continuity of care during challenging circumstances.
