Following concerns about end of life care, the CQC carried out a responsive assessment and rated the service Good overall. Inspectors found staff were kind and knew people well, risks were managed effectively, and medicines were handled safely.
Some gaps in end of life care training were identified, though no concerns were found in the care actually provided. Relatives praised the home's atmosphere, communication and management, describing staff as knowledgeable and engaging, and felt genuinely welcomed as part of the family.
