The Chiswick Nursing Centre

The Chiswick Nursing Centre is a nursing home in Chiswick providing care and support to older people, including those with nursing needs and people living with dementia, for up to 146 people. The CQC assessed the service following concerns about its management and found significant shortfalls, resulting in four breaches of regulation covering safe care, staffing, medicines management, and leadership.

Inspectors found that oversight and governance systems were not effective at identifying or addressing problems, and medicines were not always managed safely. Staff did not always have the right skills, and people's social needs were sometimes overlooked. Relatives and staff described stretched staffing and weak management support, though people generally spoke positively about the care staff themselves.
