Nazareth House - Hammersmith

Nazareth House provides personal care to up to 95 older people, including those with nursing needs and dementia. During the inspection, 90 people were using the service. Residents and relatives praised staff as kind and caring, and inspectors observed positive interactions between people and staff throughout. Care plans and risk assessments included clear guidelines for managing known safety risks. However, relapse indicators were missing for conditions controlled by medication where people had shown no symptoms for years. While people received appropriate pressure ulcer wound care, care plans did not specify turning frequency and turning charts were not consistently completed.

The home supported people to participate in activities, though residents complained about limited enjoyment of the activities offered. The provider maintained good infection prevention and control standards, with clean facilities, safe visiting arrangements, and systems in place to prevent infection spread.
