The Beeches

The Beeches provides personal care to 40 older adults, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 36 people were using the service. Staff were aware of potential risks to people's health and wellbeing and monitored them appropriately. The home had systems in place to safeguard people from abuse, and people were supported by sufficient staff who were safely recruited. Infection prevention and control processes were effective.

People's needs and choices were assessed and monitored to form their individual care plans. Staff completed training and received induction when first employed to help meet people's needs. People were supported to eat, drink and maintain a healthy diet. However, the provider's auditing systems were not always effective at identifying improvements, and the registered manager did not always record lessons learnt when things went wrong.
