Fernlea

Fernlea is a care home providing support for up to 13 people, including older and younger adults, people with sensory needs, mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autistic people. The CQC rated the service Good overall. Inspectors found thorough, person-centred care planning, staff who understood people’s needs well, and good involvement of families and health professionals.

The home was found to be well-led, with an approachable management team, clear governance and a positive, open culture. Previous concerns about governance had been resolved. People and relatives described feeling safe, valued and respected, praising kind, attentive staff and a homely atmosphere.
