The care home accommodates up to 44 people requiring personal care, with 37 residents at the time of inspection. It provides care for older people, including those living with dementia.

The provider had systems and processes in place to monitor quality and safety, but these had not always been effective in driving improvements and compliance. Shortfalls with systems, processes and recording information meant the provider had not been able to identify and respond to issues adequately. Provider oversight needed to be strengthened to ensure compliance with legislation and fundamental standards.
